So.... 2013 is looming

What do we all have planned? Are we looking forward to it, or are we dreading it?!

I'm excited! And crossing every limb in hope that 2013 will be less soggy than 2012 ;)

Mine and Figs goals are:

Qualify Summer Regionals at Novice Restricted
Qualify Area Festivals at Elementary Restricted
Qualify ROR Champs at Novice and Elementary
Survive Hartpury Pet Plan Champs
Debut at Medium
Be able to successfully (and sensibly!) complete an 80cm course
Establish our half steps
Establish 4 time tempis
Start work on our canter pirouettes

Can't wait to hear everyone elses plans :nosey:

As for the last 2 years (!!) I would love to do some Novice double clears, an intermediate or two and a CCI* . Was put on hold last year due to horse beng kicked and fracturing his knee and then put on hold again this year due to me being pretty ill and hospitalised over May and the summer. Fingers crossed for next year!

Schooling wise at home I would like to: continue to improve his hind leg on the flat, really getting him stepping through. Hopefully this in turn will improve his mediums.

Continue to establish the lateral work. Mainly the shoulder in that needs work.

Work on changes over fences and getting them really straight and true. At the moment we tend to land on the correct leg in front but change late behind which causes him to panic and run a bit.

:)

I would like to get my 4 yr old (5 in April) to do atleast BE90 by end of season and jump BN possibly aiming for our 4 double clears although not many shows round our way!

For J to do some more working hunter and at our yard unaff showjumping where we were virtually unbeaten at 90cm and always placed in 1m :) Abbie will do this too as good practice

I also hope for Abbie to get some decent % at prelim - have prelim 7 on jan 13th!

Few horses so a few different goals!!

Bee (P2Per) - To try and have plenty of runs between me and Katherine, lots of best turned outs and try our best to get in the winners enclosure!

Beamish (ex racer) - Do some more RoR classes and do better in the proper ones and do some BE RoR classes and maybe some dressage!

Miranda (Project to sell) - Sell her and if not get her eventing at BE90/100 by the end of the season!

Buster (ex P2Per) - Just to have him sound would be better than all of the above put together!!

Good luck everyone!

get out eventing and not get soaked!

Assuming we manage that I'd like to get my BE100 double clears and do the Trizone challenge at Blenheim. I'd also like to qualify for some regional finals and really really really want to get to Badminton. I know this horse is good enough - just need some luck on our side.

As an aside we'd like to get in the top10 at the Area Festivals at Novice.

Rowan (will be 6 years in 2013):
Qualify for novice restricted regionals and go :)
Debut at elem level and qualify for areas
Be schooling solidly at medium level and maybe start flying changes by winter.
Do a spotty showing competition.
Would love to do our first xc jumps but only have a dressage saddle at present so will have to see.

Dancer (will be 20 next year)
Establish simple changes and have a proper crack at BD elem level and try and get her first points
Hopefully qualify for elem areas and go
Depending on how she is progressing maybe do a little medium debut.

Inka (will be 4 next year)
Get her schooling well at prelim/ novice level
Do her competiton debut a little walk and trot
Do lots of hacking :)

Get over 70% at Prelim

Get close to 70% at Novice, and be placed above some of the 'comp' riders at my yard

Go to Woolgars Farm for a cross country round

Do a jumping clinic

Only problem with the last two is that they require...umm...jumping...

To get Mini out and about with the dun pony, prelims and a bit of jumping towards the end of the season.

Get daughters out and about their choice of what they do.

D_K and the boys out eventing, barring injuries and ground conditions allowing, just see how it goes.

If there is any money left/time allowing do some dressage and unaff eventing with my boy,

but basically just enjoy time with my family and our horses.

I have a shiny new camera which is a lot cleverer than I am, so my goal is to learn to use it properly and take many decent photos of my sister on her crew. Very excited- Team Reggie will be having the best year ever next year, I have decided. Having 3 ex-racers can only ever mean there are good things to be coming :D

My goals for this year :

Pass the trailer test 1st time so I can get pony out more than once a month! As I currently have been.

Basically improve all our flat work and to be riding a decent novice test by the end of the year

Main aim is to get jumping! We started abit this year but I have a lot to learn and our yard facilities are not really set up for jumping. So with the trailer test done hoping to get out to some clinics and small shows. Also XC schooling and hope to ride a ODE before the end of the year. Don't think I will aim for BE just yet! Lol. But that is still our long term goal.

Biggist goal is just to have fun doing it all :)

Aim is to get the canter established, improve the show jumping and maybe aim for an end of year test at medium.

Oh, I suppose to sort my life out and get a paying job would be nice too!

Get both boys out and about to some quiet prelims / novices.
Establish Frank's canter enough for his owner to be able to do a prelim.
Get over Denys's naughtiness in hand, and establish a better relationship with him.
Teeny tiny jumpies with Denys!
Lots of lessons, hacks and fun!

Mainly keep ratbag sound, but other than that, sort transport out again, and qualify for the amateur finals at Aintree in 2 classes! Would also like to get a couple of DC's at BE100 and just have a bit of fun with the eventing in the hope that it will set us up to have a proper crack at it again in the (not too distant!) future! Also want to have a play at arena XC and a few derby classes, as think madam will love them!!
