We're nearly there....2013 goals?

To pass my lorry test

Survive p2p'ing! and hopefully have lots of fun along the way...fingers crossed! Maybe even get the old boy back for a spin :D

Get the baby out to a few bits and pieces then sell her :(

And hopefully get out to a few more events this year than last, only managed two! and one I wasn't even riding! The joys of working with horses, ending up with no time for your own ones sadly.

Finally, to enjoy every minute and make the most of every opportunity- Because you only live once.

1. keep my horse sound, healthy, happy and fit
2. work hard to improve my riding so we can produce soft, relaxed and harmonious tests
3. improve the canter
4. get 70% at affiliated novice
5. qualify for something..anything!
6. convince the yard owner to get mirror for the school

To get confident driving the new horsebox and get the boy out and about
To do a prelim dressage test (and not disgrace ourselves)
To get the pony out showing and manage to hold our own at some of the smaller agricultural shows in the summer
To jump a full course
To go to hairy pony camp
To make it to the Fell breed show in August

Qualify for summer regionals at..... novice maybe elem?!...
BD medium debut...
Get 2 yo playing about with bits and numnahs on back, maybe do a spot of in hand showing...
Get my dream job... it will be done!!!
Move house and get our dream dogs

Mine are pretty boring compared to other peoples:
-Find somewhere to (semi-)retire the French One near Cambridge (proving very difficult :( )
-Start seriously looking for something to take over from the French One
-Complete my PCGE without it killing me or me killing anyone else!
-Do some commercial (very small scale) photography

Moon will hopefully continue to have fun at some BSJA shows just at 1.10 level
Baby Horse Number 1 will hopefully enjoy Xc schooling and can start to be geared towards an eventing career, perhaps with some BYEH along the way.
Baby Horse Number 2 will do a little then be sold.
Boss will live a glorious life out in the field with his girls, enjoying his retirement.

Fingers tightly crossed!

Get the changes more established, and him more relaxed over all.

Get out jumping more! I'm enjoying dressage more but people seem to forget jumping is what I've done my whole life and being written off as a total dressage diva is not what I want!

Maybe do a wee Unaffiliated ODE.

To get my 4 yr old jumping and out competing with the aim of BE by the summer

To get my post kissing spines boy back out and about again and just see how far he is willing to go.

Get my trailer finished and pass my towing test to give my dad a break!

To sort my life out in general - consider new job, new direction, new house, start studying for new quals and ideally win the lottery so I can disregard new job etc.!

Oh and start wedding planning for the big day in 2014! :D

Be healthy and happy, really my top priority for the family.

Enjoy taking B and his 12.2 ponies to PC and BS along with his puppy Bounce and spending time together.

A would also like to continue producing nice Irish horses, something he is good at. Hopefully I'll have more time to enjoy that as we have a member of staff starting next weekend which should help me reduce my working hours to 23 a day from 24 ;)

Best of luck everyone :)

My aims are to ride consistent 65% + elem tests and ride my first mediums, hoping for 60% +

It would be great if my 6/7yo could come back into useful work by end of year, we shall see on that though :(

Dangerous, these threads, but goal setting often helps!

The Spooky Pony:
1. crack the loading issues so I can be less apprehensive about making "away plans" now that we're no longer on a livery yard
2. somehow help him be more trusting and confident (a continuous goal)
3. get cracking on our Silver Thistle (two 60km Qualifiers and an 80km Final)
...and varying secret goals... :o

The Girlfriendmare:
1. clicker her so she's less RUDE.
2. get her sat on and happy, so that friends can come hacking with me.

Other horsey plans:
1. work on becoming more consistent, effective, and refined.
2. start saving for a No. 2 that is long-legged and good at going sideyways when asked, and good at not going sideyways when not asked.

To get horse fitter than she was this year - ride more often.
Aim to have us both confident at 80cm SJ. (Highland pony that either uses too much energy or doesn't make the effort over 60cm).
Do a couple of XC competitions.
Do more schooling and get her more balanced and listening (will help in our other aims).

Lots to aim for and am very excited for next year :D :D :D

I hope for me and Cafe to-
Get all our Newc double clears
Compete at european viewing trials and hickstead without any major hiccups
Go onto foxhunter maybe get all our DCs.

Ella-
Start BSJA
be brave
Keep on forgetting shes an ex race horse and pretending to be a fancy warmblood
Get some BN and Disco double clears

Myself-
Stay on board
Get skinny
Be as tolerent with stupid people as i am stupid horses
keep smiling and trucking on :D

Ok well here it comes:

- Get to the regionals with Ruby or Breitlingh (or both... would be nice:D)
- Get Breitlingh and Ruby trained for higher dressage levels
- Jump a tiny bit more.... just for fun though!

Nothing much really, i'll see how things turn out....

1) Keep my 19 year old coloured girly sound and sweet with a few hunter trials and 'fun' parties.
2) Get out and about with the bouncy ginger one. Hopefully this time next year we're happily out prelim/novice dressaging and jumping 80cm confidently.
3) Get fit (inspired by another HHOer taking up running). The treadmill has had the mammoth pile of washing removed from it and I have downloaded the c25k podcast to get me going.
4) Not spend too much on the ponies so that...
5) Dream holiday of a lifetime/belated honeymoon to Alaska can happen (although OH is still in a bit of a grump about the ginger pony arriving so not sure if this will happen :( )

Hope everyone has a wonderful 2013 :)

Well as this year has been so up and down it is tough, we have come so far in a year from my little broken post op pony this time last year to my first ever photo and interview in H and H. So here goes -
Firstly go hunting at least once before the season ends - Hopefully the meet at Tattersalls Sales ring as I have always wanted to go or the last meet of the season for Cambridge Draghounds which is meant to be at a yard very close to mine with lots of cool jumping.
Secondly go hunter trialling, just one or two to give Nickel some fun before the serious stuff.
Then
Get some more Novice points BD
Qualify for the Area Festival at Prelim/Novice
Attempt our first Elementary together (I did Elementary with Murphy)

That all depends on keeping his lordship sound and happy!

My main aim is to continue to lose weight and get in shape :) I have already lost 3 1/2 stone this year and I have another 5 to lose before the close of 2013.
Second target is to find a nice sane allrounder for my niece and I to share. I have been having lessons on a potential over the past few weeks but I am not convinced he is 100% the right horse although I am thoroughly enjoying being back in the saddle.

Go to my first competition (probably unaffiliated dressage) in about 20 years! Yikes!!! This will be on a young ex-racer that I'm part loaning. I also hope that, within the next few months or so he will be far more confident hacking out on his own!

I am currently aiming for a walk and trot test in March thought halting without the horse looking like I'm trying to remove his teeth is something of an issue at the moment!! Lol! We are making progress though!

My hopes for 2013:

B:
to start BS (been jumping 95cm unaffiliated courses recently getting placed), compete in first BE event (!!!) and Northern Showcross Series again. Hope to be on PC area eventing novice team (BE90) for first time and area intermediate SJ team (been on novice teams last 2 years)

Me:
improve my stressage techniques with regular lessons, get my fitness up early start of season and continue to work on my jumping technique also :) get my C+ test and PC teaching certificate hopefully! Also increase my horsemanship knowledge!

Off to Uni in September so all this in 9 months :/ well I never have done things by halves!

I would like to do a BE90 on Nitty towards the end of the season.

BH- well, I wasn't planning on having him so who knows. Find him another loan home or maybe take him jumping a bit or something.

- Improve our dressage and get at least 60% at Prelim (little aim)
- Do a 1.10 by the end of the year (big aim - might have to acquire brave pants)
- Go hunting
Most important of all:
- Have a sound and happy dozy TB and HAVE FUN

Wow!!
I would like my boy to come sound
To lose weight
To stop being so negative about everything
To spend time with my parents and help them as much as i can
To support my daughter through her GCSEs and my son with his work
To be more organised
But most of all I just want my family and friends to stay happy and healthy and safe

lose weight!
finally get money owed to me so that i can restart BE
stop piddling around at BE90 and move up to BE100
stop her ladyship being a complete loon over the last 500m home when out hacking !

My goal is to get round a BE80T before June and then step it up to BE90

Also hoping to get some decent dressage scores in the bag and qualify for trailblazers sj with my grey mare.

Now need to get my arse into gear and kick on! Wish it would stop raining and the gales will die down!
