I've reported on our success so far this season and how its going better than we ever expected.....well Torin just gets better and better!
Last Saturday we ventured along to the Central and West Fife show which I've never been to before, I was pleasantly surprised - what a well run, well organised, super friendly show! Will definitely be back again!!
First up was the in hand coloured and with only two of us in the class we were already guaranteed to go forward to the championship....what I didn't expect was to win the class and then stand reserve champion in hand coloured!
Mega pleased with the big pony and to then compete in the supreme in hand championship sharing the ring with all those beautiful horses was amazing, didn't think the day could get any better.......
....it did!!! Torin gave me the most incredible ride to win his ridden coloured class and then stand ridden coloured champion!!
A championship ribbon has eluded us until now and its the best feeling ever to achieve it on a horse you bought and then produced entirely yourself for the show ring. Over the past week I've had a few people come and tell me that they thought Torin wouldnt amount to much when they first looked at him 2 years ago and that they completely take it all back. My farrier, one of my biggest supporters, also didnt think much of him when he first shod him but has said how proud he is
Also popped out this weekend for our local dressage for our last league at prelim/novice before we step up to elementary in the winter. Two solid tests, albeit the novice not our best as he was a bit tired and switched off slightly, for second in both tests with 69.8% and 66%
I have full permission to use pictures, showing pictures were bought and DR pics were my dad
