I've found somewhere for both ponies for £100pm. Not much but water and electricity but that's all I need for two babies. It's in a lovely area, well hidden and no drama!

That being said, I need to get my hay in for myself. When I was at home I got 20 bales at a time from a friend but I'll probably have to buy enough if for most of the winter. As a general guide, how many small bales would you buy for two ponies? I got through 6 big bales last winter but don't have the room or means to move them round so needs to be little ones.

It really depends what your grazing is like - whether it will need supplementing or will support them and you will only need hay for snowy/icy days..

Also, how big are the ponies and are they native types?

They're not native types but not poor doers. My mare lived out most of last year without a rug and didn't drop any condition. I'd probably give them hay through the bulk of the winter to top them up.
