West Cornwall Peeps- Great flat lode

Had a great ride around the gfl a couple of years ago with Wheal Buller. Now we live here, OH and I fancied a hack round. Drove to car park at Piece and found it blocked off!!
Does anyone know a safe place to park a horsebox?
And where I could get a map of the gfl from( Council are not too helpful).

there is a pull in on the road from piece to carnkie where people park there lorries.

We live in Connor Downs and horses live in Leedstown.
Much better than Hampshire, but less chances to compete.
But Cornwall a great place to live!!!

There is a large car park st South Wheal Frances, which is the one I think the others have mentioned. How/why was it blocked off? Not the travellers again?

Car park at South Wheal has indeed been blocked off due to travellers.
It is only just big enough to squeeze a car through.

That is the only downside to Cornwall, but theres loads of beaches! Gwithians a good one to gallop across

Carn Marth is another AMAZING place to hack! If you go right on top of it, you can see all the way to north and south coasts (on a clear day) There is a road oppostie Wheal Buller (sign posted to stithians lake) there is a fairly large layby down there that you would be able to park in. You only need to go on a road for around 5mins max to get across to Carn Marth. Only one road to cross (which can be fairly busy) but people are really good at stopping to let you cross there.
