My daughter's school has just been told that the people who were going to provide the pony rides for their summer fair on Saturday have been double booked so won't be coming along. The pony rides are a really popular part of the fair and the chairwoman of the parents association has asked me if I can help. Unfortunately as many of you know my lovely cob is down at Rockley at the moment and I don't think a 4 year old warmblood is quite the way to go!

Does anyone have ponies who might be willing to do this? I appreciate it doesn't sound like fun having done it myself but they're a good crowd and you would keep any money taken. The school has prepared disclaimers so that all parents will sign one before approaching the ponies.

It's a big ask I know but the Parents Association are really desperate to get some pony rides on offer as they've been there for years now.

If anyone can help please can you let me know. Thank you very much. :) x

Hi, I dont quite know where you are but are you within striking distance of a beach the has donkey rides ? If so you could pop down and ask the owner if they couple bring a couple along. Its money for them after all. :D

Sorry if this is a numpty idea !:o

Not sure whereabouts you are but you could ring the Sussex Horse Rescue in Uckfield. They do Pony rides at their open days on Sundays so may be up for trying to fund raise on an extra day.

Thank you!! Some great ideas there and I'll chase them up in the morning. I know it doesn't seem like a big deal really but the kids really like the pony rides so I'd hate for them to be disappointed at such a late stage.

Thank you all. :) x
