Hi
Can you please recommend some good books for someone learning western riding or just with a general interest in learning more about it?

Thanks
Matt

Western Horseman has a whole series of books, there will be something suitable in their lists. I am sure Amazon or eBay will oblige.

Better than a book is Bob Mayhew's DVD - was originally a video so quite old but very clear and self explanatory. Oh and you'll see his huge outdoor arena - I have had the good fortune to compete in it!

Ditto the Western Horseman books, you'll find loads on amazon and sometimes they crop up on ebay. Is there any specific aspect of western riding you are most interested in? the reining books in the WH series are really good.

Try looking on www.thewesternshop.co.uk; it's a western forum and I they used to have a classified section so you might pick up something from there.

Don't know if it would be of any use but I have about 2yrs worth of Horse & Rider (USA version) magazines that are all about western riding, horse care, tack, trainers etc.
