I have just started down this path with my boy and was wondering is there anyone else who rides western and english on here ?

I have had a couple of lessons and plan on having more once I'm earning enough, really enjoyed it and my horse seems quite happy to listen to me whether I'm riding western or english style

Me, my horse hacks Western style, but also events and SJ and has competed up to Medium Level BD!

Thank - you. I think it helps that my horse it quite chilled anyway and my English style with him has always been mostly seat with a lightish rein contact. He happily swaps between a round and secure contact(but reasonable light) for English and the longer lower no rein/very little contact for Western. Have fun with your saddle, what are you getting? Mine is a Circle Y Park and Trail and is very comfy!

I have gone for a colt saddle as recommended by my trainer; hope it wont take long to arrive he suggested this or a circle.
Hoping made the right choice.

Cant wait for him to come home so we can get.out and about.. he has been at my trainers almost two weeks now.. i imagine he is goi g to be very different.
