Westminster KC show - NY

The last time a smaller poodle won BIS at Crufts was in 1982 - a toy! I don't know of any miniatures. Miniatures can sometimes lack the movement that you see in standards and toys though.

Ricky, who was the last poodle (standard) was G4 at Westminster. When he was campaigned over in the UK there were some lovely videos of him with Jason Lynn on the beach and in fields running free. While Jason handled him at Westminster, I don't know what his life has been like since he left the UK.

The top winning miniature of all time was Alice's grandsire Rodney (Ch Minarets Secret Assignment). But he topped out at a Group win at Crufts.

The poodles are dead clever but sometimes to a fault lol

A toy poodle won a couple of years after Shargleam Blackcap, IIRC. :)

Today the glamorous showdog cockerpants bogged off for a swim in the reservoir, then spent the afternoon alternating between terrorising my colleague's dog by bouncing in his face and nicking squeaky balls off the display stand to chew under my desk. Two weeks to go... *hysterical wheeze*

I remember Marita Gibbs winning with a white standard (and an Afghan another year, never let it be said that all rounders simply put faces up!)

You missed the tongue in cheek Levrier! Sadly I am plenty old enough to remember Blackcap, I think I was probably actually showing at Crufts the year he went BIS , and not in junior handling :)
