Hi, I am sure I have seen a link on here to the best / bad wet dog food or am I going mad

I know there is a dry one (red / yellow / green ) ratings.

If there is a wet food index can someone post the link for me please ;) I have been looking for ages on here and I really need to do some work.

Thank you.

Thats the one, I was looking ages for it ...

Thank you, am trying to get my mum to stop feeding Caesar to her dog - think its worked now ... though she now pinched a pack of my (well my dog's) nature diet to try..

:D

one of my dogs suffers from an over active anal gland (nice!) and if i feed him wet food, his glands constantly leak which produces the most terrible smell which gets over the carpet, furniture, clothing etc.

The vet said i almost need to keep him in a state of mild constipation to allow him to flush his anal glands naturally when he poos. she was very anti wet food.

Euw! Feed raw bones eg chicken wings occasionally. Apparently ,it really helps. :)

Whats wrong with caesar?

Ive feed my dog a couple of these this week as she went off the James Wellbeloved dry food. So thought i'd give the little trays a go.

Obviously seeing they are bad I wont anymore, her coat has been really nice this week after swapping so want to stay with Wet food.

My mum's dog has quite an itchy coat and I thought it could be food linked, if you have a look at the wet food index and look at Caesar's ingredients and compare to say Nature Diet (I feed my pup this) there is quite a considerable difference in meat content etc - my pup has a black coat and looks like I spray him with Mr Sheen as he is so shiny... plus looking at the price I think Nature Diet may be cheaper than Caesar which surprised me.

Will be interesting to see if Mum changing her dog food will have an effect

My westie had cooked fresh food (basically a roast) for a few meals, and that might have been what made her coat better.

Her coat looks alot whiter already. think i will go to the pet shop in the morning and get some trays of the Nature Diet. I dont want my dog eating junk.

The amount of corn, cereals and derivatives would put me off massively, there are many better foods out there:

CESAR DOG FOOD REVIEW
Cesar brand dog food is available in both dry and wet formulas. Most of the wet formulas are available as "entree-style", designed to imitate human meals. There are three basic dry dog food formulas, one for each life stage. Cesar brand dry dog food does contain corn, often in its first five ingredients. Cesar dog food formulas are specifically targeted to meet the nutritional needs of small breeds, and are not recommended for larger dogs.

Due to Cesar brand dog food containing corn among its first five ingredients, many consumers tend to avoid these formulas.

How many would you feed and how often ? Thanks

Spaniel? Substitute whatever you normally feed with 4-5 chicken wings if they're not massive. You could smash them up a bit and hold them so he doesn't inhale, let him get the idea that he needs to chew before you let hm loose on them.
