Ive got a pick up type truck, with a roof on the back so the dogs can travel safely and it doesnt matter how disgusting they get on their walks. However its quite a hard plastic interior and I dont think its ideal as a surface for them. Can anyone suggest a good tough waterproof bed of some sort that I can use as a liner, just to make sure they dont slip and knock themselves. They're only in there for about 5 mins at a time and I dont really want to have to pull it out every time, once a week maybe. Any ideas please?

I justt pit down the pads you use for crates - while mine travel in the back of the jeep crated they do bring in a lot of dirt from the yard but these wash well I have also built up a collection of old cheap fleece throws as well

Try looking up stable or wall mats got some 6 x 3 mats used as flooring on grass I think off eBay use in outdoor kennels and trucks.

I have a couple of old canvas rugs in the back of our cars. Every once in a blue moon we hose them down and give them a scrub (ok done it once this year) but I do take them out and give them a shake.

cut down a stable mat or even safer...I have a 6x4 stable mat in the back of my warrior and have the end over lap the tailgate...so when closed the mat curls up about 7-9 inches(acts as a softer wall too) and when you open the tailgate it lies across the gap where the hinges are...is excellent and heavy enough that won;t blow away or get walked off with..though thats no issue if you have a tonneau.easy to hose down & disinfect too
