The last few mornings there's been a wet patch on the rug ( different places) as if Tala has peed on it but there's no smell??? Her behaviour is normal as is her toileting when out, I caught a sample of pee and it smelt normal, wasn't cloudy or anything. She has previously had a history of struvites but I thought this would make her pee smell worse. Guess I'm taking her to the vet again, think we should have some frequent flyer miles at this rate. Really bad timing as I got to the horses this morning and she had a big fat hind leg so vet coming to her at lunch too 😢

It could be that she has been licking obsessively at something that hurts. Not skin wise necessarily but joint pain can make dogs lick at an area.
Ours leaves wet patches that I used to think was wee but it never smelled, then I realised it was mad paw licking.

How’s the horse? 🤞
Thanks, this mornings area did smell of pee as I think it was more recently done, I took a takeaway tub out with me to collect a sample and it didn't smell right so booking vet for her for tests, I'm assuming she's got struvites again and they have given her an infection bless her. Problembis the higher protein in the raw diet increases struvite probability but if I try to feed her anything else she goes on hunger strike and vomits bile from the acid in her empty stomach 🙄.
Pony thankfully but annoyingly was already showing improvement by the time the vet came so hopefully a few days of bute and will be right as rain x

Luna had struvite stones. £3.5k operation to remove them, and she’s on a specialist diet for life now. If she’s prone to them, I think I would just feed what suits. I think she’s a malamute? Luna is a husky and a fussy eater, she won’t starve herself though.

One of a few larger stones removed, along with 100’s of smaller ones.
