What's wrong with using a school when it's wet?

Got told to leave the school as it had been raining this eve - a few puddles but not that bad.

What?
Surface water has never stopped a school being used in all the yards I've been at, nor do people not ride because of a wet school (well apart from one fanny that didn't like the sand.....) Lol

A YO or YM with strange ideas?
I'll be interested to see if there is genuine good reason from other YO or YM's :D

Apparently it damages the surface - my arse!
Moving at end of month to a yard with no school but with one in the pipeline!

The school that I use everyday is constantly wet with puddles or lakes in some areas. It is very rare that it is completely dry. So I have no choice but to school in it. The only drawback that by using when it is so wet is that it can become very deep in places. This then becomes a challenge when trying to practice dressage tests with a horse who loves a firm surface and hates deep and bogy surfaces.
