So some of you may remember that I posted about us moving to the country where I got a place two minutes up the road for Bella and the boys school was two minutes from the house also. We have been here three weeks and it just feels like a dream! Its been great although we are having and have had some teething problems which I will do multiple posts for advice! Sorry!

Bella loaded in ten minutes despite not loading for over two and a half years. She has settled into the herd well and is so relaxed and happy, Ive even caught her lying down in the field and she let me come in the gate and sit with her. Ive only ever seen her lie down once before as she is quite highly strung. The herd accept her more and more each day.

The riding is amazing! We are getting out most days and Bella is like a different horse, happy, alive and NOT spooky! She is however foot sore which is another thread.

Like I said we have had some teething problems. She started rearing as I was girthing her up. Shes always been girthy but she got ridiculous. I was about to get Angela moore out when a couple of others had a go and she stood as quiet as a mouse for them. A friend checked her over and we all came to the conclusion that she was playing me and once I stood my ground and did some natural work with strong body language she soon settled down. She also scratched her nose to pieces which I did wonder if it was either a reaction to the plant in the field as its much more natural, or just trying to get to the herbs and ignoring the brambles. Either ways its pretty much mended with hibiscrub and dermolene.

So all in all things are very good and I just wanted to share with you all. Any advice on foot sore and the scratched nose would be good:) Hope you are all well and getting plenty of riding in before the horrible winter weather!

Three weeks and you have the internet ! You did better than me, think it took about 6 weeks for BT to stop messing about when I moved.
Your new home and yard sound lovely. Footsore-ness could be too much grass and different grazing, also not helped by the very wet weather we're having. One of mine tends to get thrush if the fields are very boggy, so he comes in off the grass and dries his feet out for a few hours.

Ah they have been a bit silly in that they said they would come and install a phone line then decided two days before the date given that they couldnt do it until the date of internet and phone had gone. Nice to be back though. SO many times Ive thought 'ohhh Ill google it'.

Thanks for suggestions. On my other thread oberon suggested maybe thrush. Going to get some pics up soon.
