If moving house is stressful then moving yards must be twice as much! How much stuff can two horses possibly have, it took most of the day yesterday to clear out detol and paint the old stables, bath both horses, move all their stuff and trailer them down there, we had planned to ride them but my sharer is working in London this week and had to get the train yesterday afternoon.

Anyway it all went smoothly the boys looked cosy in their new stables and this morning both were covered in shavings so must've felt comfortable enough to sleep. I turned them out in their new paddock which compared to the bare field they've been on for the pat 3 weeks must've looked like a massive chinese takeaway does to me!

They are next to a a 4 year old mare, who is dark bay with a star too so they look like triplets, the new YO will mix them in with her geldings once they've settled in. I can't wait to get down to ride after work in the indoor school it even has mirrors and there was actually someone up earlier than me, a lady was riding her eventer in the school when I arrived at 5.50am, shes clearly as nuts as me so we should get on well.

I really think it was the right decision to move now, its so quiet and with only 3 liveries, one of which is my trainer it'll be heaven compared to old yard and the thousands of crazy kids, just hope the neds agree.

well done well done and congrats, we moved yesterday too, after a 10mile sponsored ride would you believe! Went to the ride with tack room in tow, literally, as it was most logistical way! Had a call from YO last night (having finally dragged myself away about 830pm exhausted) and rushed down this morning at 7am and to my surprise, I am more relaxed now than I have been in months. Keep us posted on your move - swap notes, and good luck settling in. Just found out I have a blasted telecon at stupid 1pm and I wanna get down to yard to bring him in off of lush grass, darn it.

Thanks for the good wishes guys, wonderhorse you must be a wonderowner to do a 10 mile ride then move I'm shattered after putting my hay delivery away lol! I'll take some piccies this week of our new pad, its not immaculate, but I have a great feeling about it and the people seem great.
