Hi,
Just joined as I'm looking for opinions on WF racing mats - has anyone used them and how to they compare to mud control mats? I am so so sick of the mud!!!!
Thank you

Haven’t used MC but have a pallet of the WF racing mats and they have been absolutely fab in this weather. We’ve had them down a couple of months now, put them on mud soup in front of the stables and they’ve held up well. They’re not slippy (I think this has been an issue with MC?), my youngster regularly runs down to our stables and does a handbrake turn inside for breakfast and hasn’t slipped once. They are quite heavy, I think around 25kg each? Took me & 2 others about an hour and a half to lay them all but we felt it by the end! I really couldn’t recommend them enough though. I think I’d really be pulling my hair out by now with all the mud if I didn’t have them…

Hi, i am in the same situation. Toying between MUD CONTROL mats and WF racing mats. I have only just found out about the WF ones so unsure how they last and compare to MC mats.

Hiya, so far my WF mats are doing great! I believe they have a 20 year guarantee the same as MC, if that helps.

I can’t really see anything going wrong or changing with them, they’re very robust. I chose WF as they’re bigger and make a wider single track path, but also because they don’t need covering with sand etc like MC do. Im planning to get another pallet as and when funds allow and I’m really pleased i chose them.

Thank you, how do you link them together so they don't move/come apart when walked on etc?

Does mud seep up through them? That's my only complaint for the mc mats.

for the first week or so it did while they were settling but not really anymore. The holes in the mats are quite small compared to MC, but it does depend on what you’re laying the mats on. Ours was pretty much soup so I expected that. The majority of mud on the mats is now brought in by the horses, I don’t sweep mine regularly, maybe once every 3 weeks when we get a dry day but there’s only a thin coating of mud on top.

Thanks :)
It's become another job to scrape the mats with ours. I'd like to extend the area so will try some wf next time.
