What’s notice to pay sold Horse

I posted about being out of love with horses some weeks ago. I have had my mare that was lame put down and today sold my foal. I am taking my ridden horse and my daughters pony to a livery yard with facilities and lessons next month to see if I can reignite something in me.

I told the person where I am that I was leaving and selling/ putting to sleep over a month ago. I pay weekly and have no contract or anything. The foal has gone today. It’s the rent of a field but I pay per horse. Would you pay till the end of the week or the month?

We aren’t on good terms now so it’s hard to talk about. I don’t want to be unfair WWYD?

You do have a contract, albeit a verbal/implied one.

You need to pay a weeks notice.

I didn’t not want to pay I just wondered if I should go to the end of the month having informed them a month ago already
