What’s the done thing with horse viewings?!

If I were selling, I probably wouldn't mind two viewings in one day, so long as there was plenty time in between and horse was well rested and I would be honest to the second viewer. As a buyer, I probably wouldn't mind being the second viewer either, so long as the same rest had been provided. After all, who's to know if the owner may have exercised the horse themselves anyway, prior to the viewing. Either way, you would still have to use your own judgement as to whether any "edge" had been worked off the horse before you got there.

If a reasonable offer was made by the first viewer and a second viewer was expected later, I would not necessarily cancel the second viewing, particularly if they were already part way through a long journey, but I would explain the situation to both parties - not ideal but much the same practice as house purchase/sale where you advise it is "under offer". Nothing is set in concrete until at the very least a deposit is paid.

Ugh I already hate selling!!! Had another really good viewing, they loved him and said he was “something special” but then said they didn’t want to spend more than 3k…he’s 4k plus extra for tack. I’m not dropping that much, frustrating!

I’m going to put him on another selling site (he’s on Whickr) what do people recommend? Thanks
Why go and look at a horse that is priced more than you want to spend!!

Because a lot of people advertise higher than the price they're hoping to achieve, knowing that many buyers will make them an offer. I viewed an ex-racer advertised at £3k and offered £1.5k and we settled on £2k. I also bought my van for £500 less than it was advertised for, I offered £1k less and we settled halfway.
