Very boring post haha.

My tail brush finally died yesterday so I need to grab another one. Sadly I have no tack shops near me so will be ordering online.

I normally use the shires ezi groom round ones (find them a bit clunky to hold to be honest) but before I order another of the same I was just wondering if anyone has any other recs. I’m hoping to find something that is a bit easier for me to hold with my weak grip

The only tail brush I liked came in a Rambo set. It's got a square head and is really easy to use. I hate everything else I've tried!

You can't seem to buy them separately though. The whal one looks similar and so cheap

I've got 3 tail brushes.

Shires eze groom - this is the one I use most. I like the weight of it.

John Whitaker - I was gifted this in a set. It is the same style as the shires one, but it lighter. I don't use it anymore as OH has used it for the sheep and now it doesn't have the nobbly bits on the end of the bristles. I don't know if you can buy these separately.

Wahl mane and tail brush - I'm not a fan of this one I find it heavy and an odd shape to hold.

I've used my own hair brush when i've left my grooming kit at home at shows  🤣

lemieux ones for me! i’m still hanging onto an old pink square head one that i loved, i think it’s a slip notbentley one - couldn’t for the life of me find any more so i tried the lemieux one and really rate it. has the air cushion like a regular hairbrush which is nice

I love a good tail brush. I'm a regular murder of them. Invalid horses get nice tails so I've had a lot of practice!

@mossycup gifted me a Wahl tail brush for Secret Santa back in 2019. I'm sure it's bigger than the one linked on this thread. Almost 5yrs later and it's still going strong despite numerous spates of box rest!

I was sure I posted a picture at the time and I was right. I think it is the size up from the one linked.

When you have Arab's you never brush the tails or manes or you end up with nothing left.

But when I preped the show cobs I just bought the huge human hair paddle brush type things.
That's what I use. I've only got Shetland tails now, but they are easy to hold and use and don't seem to pull too much hair out.
