Thanks to all the stallion owners, very friendly & helpful (I know its all part of the PR, but even so). Lynn & Claire as nice as ever, no wonder their stallion is such a sweet boy. Craig who did a sterling job of keeping up with his charge Dark De Niro. He also did a good job of riding Stallone Quainton. Franklyn Sugar looked even better then last year. I know HT could not be ridden, but would like to see him under saddle. Shame about the snow sure this is what kept the numbers down from last year. Sadly it might do the same for tomorrow as it is settling & was a ruddy nightmare to drive in especially going uphill (not an owner of a 4x4).

So thanks again to the stallion owners & the Light family & those connected in making it a worthwhile visit, oh & not forgetting the free catalogues!! The colour one is bloody brill, not sure who organised that but what a great idea & I would have paid for it by the way...

Agreed, I've never been before me and my partner had a fab day everyone was soo friendly and welcoming and the stallions were beautiful and so friendly! Will definately be going again.

Thanks all. Officially have shin splints after all that running. Dark de niro certainly put me through my paces. Stallone quainton had a lovely relaxing day today and is looking forward to his next outing at the regionals. CENDY will be there next year. Sadly been recovering from a virus but is now back in work and can be seen in work at home for those interested.

Well apart from my stupid condition, (a pleb in sunglasses!!) another great day. A little sad about yesterdays news (KCG passing away) & the lack of attendance, the snow was no excuse. This was a fantastic opportunity for mare owners to see a number of horses in the flesh & well worth the travel & ticket price. Louise Parfitt did an excellent job of riding not only the Brandons horses but Legrande & Necker Platiere. I loved the daughter of Zin Phin I would love to breed something like her. Unbelieveable Darco was an absolute gem while his daughter strutted her stuff. He stood rock still while she cantered inches from him (and coming up from behind). Mind I dont expect the Brandons horses to have anything but manners to burn. Another star was Balinmore Irish Rebel, wow so light on his feet for such a substantial horse. If you have a weedy mare with poor kneck, back end & still want to breed from her, then he is the horse. What a gent & nice to see that this type still about & showing they can leave the ground!

The loose jumping was a good idea & showed that some still need to practise this so their horses actually understand what is wanted. Thanks again everyone, hopefully next year there wont be a jinx on the weather & you will get the attendance you so deserve.

Awesome weekend will definitely come again, and I finally got my OH to agree with me on a stallion for Jazz :D Lovely people, well organised and beautiful stallions!
