After the shenangians I have had finding a farrier patient enough to deal with Wonka I had pretty much lost hope, and then there was Malcolm!! He was absolutely brilliant, so calm and patient and understanding with Wonks.

Can finally breathe a sigh of relief that we have someone who can help tackle Wonks fear of farriers!

Just as a matter of curiousity, what does everyone think of their farriers and would you recommend them?

I love my farrier, he is so quiet and just gets on with it.

He shod my friends very bolshy section D it was his first set and he was rearing up even when Gareth was trimming his feet, he was fab he just carried on even when the horses front feet were in the air, every so often he turned round and grinned at us!!

He is very good with Axey even tho he kicked out at him the other day

I use George Crighton, (apologies for the spelling) he is based in Windsor and has shod my horses for the last 7 years.
I found him when I had trawled through all of the farriers in the home counties trying to find someone brave enought o shoe my pony.
He's such a patient, kind bloke and game fora laugh as well!

My farrier is THE BEST and I do frequently recommend him, although I think his books are totally full!!

We have had a recent change of farrier forced on us, as our farrier moved....to Australia!!

Our new farrier who took over the round is Stuart and I am more than happy with his work and attitude towards the horses, and chatting with him about horse anatomy (I am pretty new to all this, but interested), he is a very well studied chap.

I would have no issues recommending him.
