It started off as quite a nice day here this morning so Gray went out as usual without a rug on. As the day has gone on its got worse - wind and rain have come in and when Gray saw me he came belting over the field shivering. "I'll go grab you a rug" I said to him and duly went to fetch one. When presented with it a 5min long tantrum of rears, bucks, spins and ground pawing ensued! He still hasn't got his rug on ???

Mine always has a tantrum when it’s cold and windy, but never get chance to get a photo I’m just glad I’m not on his back when he bucks and rears. ??

These aren't zoomed in pics BTW! I was actually that close to him ?

Gray would never do this under saddle and I know I can stand so close to him when he dicks about because he will never, ever, ever intentionally get you. He knows exactly where his feet are at all times - you may get hit with a clod of mud though ?

I will upload the video of other parts of his tantrum shortly ?

Same!
Arrived at field to find two very sad ponies (one ISH and one TB) shivering and hiding under a tree for shelter.
Came belting down to me when I was spotted. I had brought rugs but then spent 10 mins chasing the ISH around the field trying to stuff her into it (whilst rug blew around like a bloody kite), whilst she ran away from me saying she wanted hay instead. Screeched at her that she'd regret this at 3am in the morning if she didn't bloody well stand still.

TB stood like the angelic thing she is for hers.
ISH is now begrudgingly wearing her rug ?

What's your grey's breeding, Elfie?
He is quite like my monster - Sadlers Wells bloodlines.

He is 100% Gay American Supermodel!

He is by Lasting Approval out of Cuando Quiere who is by Triple Crown winner Affirmed. His 2yo older full sister, Honey Ryder, was a multiple Grade 1 winner, was 2nd in 2 Breeder's Cup's and 3rd in another behind Ouija Board. Gray got the looks, she got the super talent ?

Nice to see mine isn’t the only rain hating drama queen. He heard my car up the drive and came shrieking up to the gate at a gallop, demanding to come in immediately. This happens every time that it rains.

My two gypsy cobs came shrieking to the gate demanding to come in when they saw me this morning! This does not happen every time it rains (they live out pretty much all year in SW Ireland). It was very impressive rain and wind this morning though and I guess the poor things were missing their full winter coats.

I agree with all the other posters - fabulous photos - you definitely need to get them framed or painted! My horse threw similar shapes at me yesterday too - although Im afraid I dont have the same level of trust in him as you have in Gray!
