I just wanted to tell everyone how pleased I am with my little Oak (9 month sprocker) :) I cannot believe what he's grown into :) I am so proud of him, he's always so well behaved and a joy to own:).

He's been going out shoeing with my other half and loving meeting all the horse owners and there yard dogs:) and last week he actually brought my OH a rabbit.. it was alive. It had mixy (sp?) and oak found it, picked it up by the scruff and carried it to my OH and sat.. waited to be asked to drop it and did so on command - the rabbit was still alive.. however OH did take it away and put an end to its life as it wasn't going to live a long OR happy life..

but oh my, cannot believe it.. Oak is only 9 months old!! He also flushed out two pheasants this morning - he's such a natural!! So we are REALLY hopeful that he'll become a cracking gun dog :)!!

Right now, he's sat next to me in bed sleeping:):)

:D very happy sprocker owner here!!!

Cracking looking little dog and fab name :D

He looks full springer from those pics.

Doing what he was bred to do - nothing makes them happier :D

Ah thank you :) His mum was called Willow and we were playing with names and Oak really suited him:)

Yes he does, there was a slight chance he could be a springer.. but after seeing his dad.. i now stand by what the breeder has said which is that he is a sprocker.. the shape of the face is so like his sire's and comparing to the springer dog.. there is no likeness. (He looks like his mum but is the shape of his dad..) :D

We are very excited to start working him:)
