oh, that is so sad - how horrific seeing that happen to your horse. they must have felt so helpless. i think the authorities could have been a bit more helpfull - hope they get big fines. fair play to the lady that was trying to help.
So sad and the officials that said that they could not turn off the electricity immediately should be prosecuted by the Health and Safety Authority.
Not only has it killed a horse but it could also have killed people and other animals in the vicinity as it is quite clear that high voltage and potentially fatal amounts of electricity where being discharged from a live source to the surrounding area due to the wet conditions of the ground.
What a horrifying and tragic accident, my heart goes out to the owner and anyone involved, it must have been devastating to witness the suffering of that poor horse.
