Words fail me, some sort of "training" ?
Sight hounds are notoriously thin skinned, that dog must have been not only terrified but absolutely frozen..
IF I ever saw anyone doing that, they would soon follow the dog in to the water, that is a promise.
Very angry.

That is awful. I didn't realise there were greyhound trainers in the UK as stupid and cruel as the ones here.

I hope they are caught and banned from keeping any animals for the rest of their lives but as we know, animal cruelty penalties are never tough enough. Those poor dogs.

They seem to have narrowed it down now to a man who breeds and trains greys, this was some sort of fitness regime that toughens their legs, feet and builds muscles.To do it humanely with proper equipment would cost them money of course, chucking them in freezing, rough water, is free so guess which method wins.
There's also talk of it being a hoax but I for one don't think it is a hoax.
