I don't quite know how many people that are reading this would have read my last post.

Anyhow....woke up this morning and it looks beautiful outside (if a little fresh!) so have decided I'm going to bite the bullet and do some flatwork with Dreamer once I have done the mucking out today!!

I have rules set out for myself to follow!

NO jumps!
NO poles!
NO boring exercises!!

I'm going to work on getting him listening to me properly (without having to ask him 2 or 3 times to do something, and then putting a half-assed approch in) and possibly some work on getting a nice even contact and even a slight outline (something I have NEVER managed before and have decided it's time I at least start to work on it...I know it's gonna take time and won't come straight away!).

His transitions are getting to the point now that I don't really need to do serious work on them, just keep reminding him every now and then!!

Would actually quite enjoy doing some showing with him (just at our yard shows) so need him to start some flatwork rather just jumping all the time!!

So wish me luck....dunno if friend is coming yet so not sure if I will have pictures/video to show for it...but we shall see!!!

Good luck - and don't forget to enjoy.
I've got to wait for the saddler to bring my saddle back this morning before I can ride, by which time it will probably be raining!
