what a night part 2 (Scrat update)

We heard from the vets yesterday, they have done a few tests and they have shown that there is in fact no hole in her diaphragm, no hernia etc..

They found that both her lungs are full of liquid for some reason.
Theyre are a few things they think it could be:

A heart problem she was born with

An infection like pneumonia, although this is unlikely as she has no fever..

It could also be a worm or other parasite in her lungs..


The vet said the shape and size of her heart was slightly unusual but her clinical profile is very unusuall so it may be none of those things.

They plan to flush her lungs out today and inspect what comes out to see if there is any tissue damage etc... but she is stable in her little oxygen tent.

Poor puppy, fingers very crossed that she makes it. Hopefully the prognosis is better if its worms. Dogs are more worry than horses I think.
I hope she makes it through.
