I know how you feel! Got my hay in a few weeks ago but what a worry! It was such a relief to see it in the barn!

Good luck for getting it baled and in today!

We've missed hay so we're having haylage done, hopefully this week. Cutting & baling isn't a problem it's getting it wrapped. We wanted large square bales, but the guy who was going to do that for us now can't, so it's going to have to be large round bales.

Ours was cut last night so we should have it baled and stored away by the weekend - panic over!!!!

At last, we had ours cut yesterday and as I speak it is being wuffled! We've always done ours in June before, have never been as late as this, it's been very worrying. OH was actually talking of turning horses into field to eat it off if it hadn't finally decided to come fine! Hopefully will be baled (haylage) and stacked by Friday then I will be sighing with relief!
I hope everyone gets theirs done and in before weather changes again.

We were fortunate and got ours in earlier in June but all your talk of making haylage is making me green with envy now!

As I sit here the rain is lashing down and has been since about 2.30 this morning!

I've gone through two coats, caps and pairs of trousers! It has even come in under the kitchen door.
Everywhere outside is flooded.......well, OK, not like the proper floods that a lot of you suffered recently but it is pretty miserable none the less.

ours was done about 3 weeks ago, what a relief it was! espec as the horses had overgrazed current field but couldnt move them as haylege wasnt cut!
