Last Monday my daughter went down yard to exercise Perzka, to find off fore tendon area hot and swollen. Lunged her a bit but no lameness. Got vet out next day, gave anti-inflammatories and advised hosing, Traumeel massage, 20 mins max daily in-hand walking and green clay. Still swollen on Thursday, no lameness and no heat but decided to book her into horsepital for an echography to be sure no underlying problem (insured and they insist on clinic) though couldn't get appointment until today. well off we went and Thank Goodness it isn't the ligament or the tendon, apparently she must have bashed herself and given herself a haematoma which caused the swelling. She can start work gradually again, though we will stick to in-hand tomorrow and Thursday anyway. What a relief though!!!! Pity she had to do it now, as this weekend is the last one of the (equivalent to) affiliated season, and she and Sophie had been selected for the invitation only Masters class at level L (+-/- Novice?) but hey ho, we are just glad it was nothing serious and she is going to be ok.

That's a bit of a pain missing that last class - but very good news that it isn't anything more serious otherwise you could have been missing a whole season.

Hope it heals soon.
