You will probably all think im being silly but ive just found out that the lady I sold Abbey to is thinking of selling her on, I love that horse to bits and made sure I found the best match I could the lady is really nice and also loves her to bits but she has bucked a couple of times with her and its shaken her confidence a bit. But shes only had her 2 months I just wish she would igve it some time as it takes a good month for some horses to settle doesnt it.

Pointless post really just feeling really upset that she might get moved on as she said it would be a home for life, and I just dont have the money or land to have her back

my only suggestion is ask if she could pass your details on to the new owners, my boy was sold on after 3 months, we had previous previous owner down to see and ride him and give us some more history on him. Everyone was happy allround

Oh and he is still here, it was just a bad match before

Unfortunately if you make the decision to sell for whatever reason, you then lose all control over what happens to the horse when it leaves you. The only way to ensure that a horse has a home for life is to give it one yourself.
If she is lucky Abbey's next home could be permanent. I bought my mare from some-one who had intended to keep her 'for life' but found that she was over-horsed. She IS with us for life.
