What a Stunning Horse!!!

Oooh la la, he is lovely. Very striking, but bet he is pain to keep that clean!! He moves very nicely too.

Lol at this ^
Just gorgeous! Both the stallion and the shetland! If I had a horse like that *dreamily stares into space thinking about it* I'd call it Obsidian, Obi or Obi Wan for short :D

He is lovely, but all that hair would annoy me. Now with his legs clipped and about 2 foot off his tail and his mane pulled....now then he would look smart :p

His colour is lovely and he moves quite nicely, but I couldn't see past his awful "my little pony" mane and tail! I wanted to take half of it away so you could actually see him, it still would have been long and flowing.

What a beautiful horse, his dapples look like snow flakes have fallen on him. His mane, tail and feathers are in beautiful condition, he's fit and moves very athletically, I'm blown away. Nearly as amazing as The Road Sweeper and The Lion King.

Absolute credit to the breed and to his owner.

Lovely colour and markings but if he were trimmmed you'd be able to see how poor his hind limb conformation & movement is. I watched a few times and he is wrong through the stifle & hocks. Both sides match but if you look where he is being long reined you can see how stilted he is compared to the ridden horse.

I don't see it?

Stunning looking animal, totally complemented by his rider.

Completely wrong behind. But who cares? He's wonderful to look at.

Oh dear, I wished I hadn't watched the video.

The photo is stunning, the video just makes him look so ordinary.

Talk about all hair and teeth.:D

(going to take ages washing that hair dye out:mad:)

Photo is stunning (even for a hairy... sorry, just not my cup of tea!)

Video lets him down- almost bunny hops behind in canter- very odd.

Think his mane could do with a wee trim- seeing as he craps himself when he stands on it! :p

I'd quite like a conformationally correct, pulled and trimmed lightweight version of him though...

His colour is amazing but I'm another who's not keen on all that hair. I look at it in the video and wonder how long it took them to make it pure white and flowing for the film. :):p

Also, in the film, isn't he rather fat?

very pretty, yes he's not 100% perfect but why do we all have to be so negative?

I don't think this thread is negative! most people are saying "Wow he's beautiful", a few aren't quite so enthusiastic, but all agree his colour's stunning.

Everyone has different tastes, I don't think it's "negative" to not all be 100% in agreement.

Just to be off topic slightly....in the you tube vid, where he is being long reined from a ridden horse (about 4.10), I have never seen this done before. Don't think I'd fancy it if something went wrong!
I think his colouring is lovely - all looks smashing until he starts to move, then I think he is very ordinary.

I don't see it, to me he moves like a H/W cob. I have heard this remark with these cobs before when people are used to the paces of other breeds.
The long reining is not an ideal picture of his movement, I think the rider is using some artistic licence to show the horse's compliance- and his own cleverness- rather than to demonstrate the horse working correctly. Mind you, fair credit to him.

I do agree that, while he's not obese, he could do with losing a little, but then, its an all year round battle to weight watch these guys.

Anyway, he's very impressive and very glad he has owners who don't cut his mane and tail off. He's probably braided when not doing a photo shoot.
