Had someone come to view a pony im advertising for loan. The advert clearly states confident rider needed as still green. Spoke to lady on the phone and we laughed about my past viewings (you know the ones, ''my daughters is an amazing rider and she has her own ponies. She needs a pony to match her own talents'' and turns out she has a retired shetland and has had 3 lessons 2 years ago)
Lady put my mind at rest and said daughter is actually a decent rider and her pony is injured and needs something to go straight in to PC.
Anyway, turns up, typical PC mum. daughter gets on and within 10 mins she gets off crying saying she hates him. When she asked for trot, pony went in to trot and daughter put her hands in the air and falls behind saddle so pony returns back to walk, clearly confused as to why hes getting extreame mixed siginals. This continues for a further 5 mins before we agree its not going to work. Cue mum saying (the cheek!) Oh he needs a confident rider doesnt he, hes still a bit babyish! ARGH! *bangs head on table*
Pony was fantastic, didnt get nervy about having his mouth pulled about and didnt get put off by such an unbalanced rider. Very proud of him. Onwards and upwards as they say. Im still giggling to myself...
