what age is your horse?

I had this conversation with my vet awhile ago and he reckoned that 30 was the new 20 for horses.

We are so much better at looking after our horses now. He also said, that the horse would tell me when he had had enough. :)
 
Lenamore only retired last year after the Olympics... He was 20 and still going round 4* courses!
Apparently he was as much of a firecracker coming off the XC course in London as he was as a younger horse. He required 2 handlers to be taken back to his stable as he was that excited and pumped up.
