What amount of bone does your horse have??

My 16.1hh tb who is 6 has 8.5" of bone, my 3yr 14.3hh cob has just over 8" of bone and my yearling (prob around 13.2) who is a welsh D has 8" of bone............the welsh D looks to be a chunky type with quite a bit of feather and growing the usual thick wavy welsh mane and tail. I think he's going to be a chunky boy.
I thought my cob would have more judging her as shes a cob but apparently not? and thought the TB was finer than the cob but again no!
I had the tape measure out today and measured just below the knee, the circumference, i take it this is correct?

Yes correct place. My 15.2 Danish warmblood has 8.5".

Farra our clydie has 9 1/4" and Stinky my trad has just over 9 1/2", I do have to pull the tape tight as they have a lot of hair to get a fairly accurate measurement.

Captain has around 9inch. Fany, it is around 12/13 inches, then masses of feather on top. I can't get my hands round it.

I can never remember which way round it goes... I *think* Dorey (15.hh irish cob) has 9 inches and Zak (14.3hh irish cob) had 10.5....

Absolutely no idea I'm afraid to say but I'll look today, I'm guessing 8" ....wonder how far out I'll be, he's a 16.1 WB x ID.
