Every now and then PF's recreational spooking will annoy me, but mostly I'm used to it.
I think that's it. Oh, and the fact that getting her to walk properly in the school is such hard work (she's more a trot and canter type of girl)
Give her an inch and she'll take about 10 miles.
Temper tantrums when she figures out that she isn't going to be allowed to fall in/hang on the bit/pull etc.
But I love her (even when she gets her white bits covered in poo when I really need her to be clean)
Jerry is annoying when hacking he'll try to tuck in behind our hacking companion then he can switch off and go into sloppy pony trekking mode.
I have to really ride him to make him walk on sometimes!
But then again the reason I love him is because he's so laid back so I don't suppose I should complain!
Oh god where shall i start?!
I'll do Pops as she's the worst
She's silly, everything scares her, and when shes scared she poos everywhere!
She scrapes when you do the front of her rug, and kicks out when you do the back
You can't touch her stomach, EVER!
Wont be clipped without being sedated
Can't hold up back legs for more than 2 seconds (farrier loves her!)
Jogs/canters is generally a pr*t on the way home from rides
Wont step on anything that is the wrong colour (eg when the tarmac on the road changes colour)
Scrapes at feed time, and throws her feed through the bed
Either does a fantastic or completly hopeless dr test
Thinks sj should be done at xc speed, and wont be told otherwise
Shall i go on?
I love her really...
The way she rounds up the other horses and starts a stampede if i DARE pay attention to anyone in the field but her!
The way she grooms me back when i groom her (cute but not exactly comfortable)
and lastly the way she jumps EVERYTHING out hacking. i'm talking road markings, drains, puddles, and heaven help us if we come across a ditch or some long grass/bushes!
every ride is a cross country ride with my horse
Quite a lot!! That she won't load, is so stressy, head shaking, when she is hard to catch, when she won't stand still, when she is rude and invades my space, and like today for example, it took me about 30 minutes to get her into her stable, but after a lot of encouragement with a whip she walks straight in and out 10 times.
He spends 9 hours in the field and stays spotlessly clean, until i walk towards the field with a headcollar, when he will get down in the muddiest patch he can find and get himself plastered (please note the colour of him below)
I also hate that his conformation means that his trot is rubbish - although he tries!
And i hate that i found him when he was 13 and missed out on all that extra time!!
generally nothing does, just when she has her silly days and decides to get a bit nappy out hacking, but we soon sort it out, i do not give in as she has tried it every now and then over the years sporadically but she knows i will win over
