As above really, was with NFU and SEIB before that. New horse to insure and have a feeling NFU not so hot of late - your help would be much appreciated fellow forum members please Thankies
I am insured with petplan with the same horse for 12years now, never had a problem with the,
My horse has had a full body scan when he was younger, claimed for front feet when he was young and claimed again now and he has had an MRI and they have paid out each time.
I'm another one for Pet Plan. They have been fabulous for all of my animals, dogs/horses. Never a problem with a claim although the monthly premium was a touch on the high side/. Also insured with Stoneways and found them to be fantastic.
I go with SEIB as they pay for all of the cost of an MRI scan. Pet plan told me when questioned they not only pay only half the cost but if you have tests done and they can't find a cause then they won't pay
Just made a claim with Towergate Auia. No problems whatsoever. They credited my account, no questions asked. I hadn't even heard of them until last year but they've been very good and not too expensive.
My friend is with Shearwater and she thinks very highly of them. Her horse has had a lot of things wrong with him over the past four years and they've always paid up without a fuss and never excluded him for anything (despite some of his injuries being quite serious).
I'm lucky in that I've never had to claim off my insurance so don't know what they'd be like if I did!
I've insured with SEIB, SEIS and and now with KBIS. I've only ever had to claim with SEIS and they were very good, paid out in full for MRI scans but were complete barstewards when it came to putting him down so left a bit of a nbitter taste in my mouth. Have heard good things about KBIS, and I did ask my vets which insurers they found to be good and KBIS came in the cheapest with 100% LOU and they have a good rep...
