I'm ill and its winter and everything seems hard work at the minunte, I'mconsequently being a right moaning witch! So I thought I'd post all the reasons why I'm blessed as opposed to focusing on the negative!

I have 3 fabulous horses. A stunningly beautiful riding horse who won 10x more money showjuming than I paid for her, a rising 2 yr old who ADORES me and vice versa, and the most QUALITY foal I could ever hope to own!

I have a HUGE 2 bed flat with a garage! ( a garage has been something I've coveted for the last 6 years!) rented from a housing association, for way less than it would cost me privately, and its in as good an area as I could afford to live privately.

I have 3 kittens who are totally different in personality, but all of whom treat me like I'm a cross between a rock star and jesus christ :D

I live 3 miles from work and have a fab sparkly pink scooter which means I dont ever sit in traffic. I also on the whole love my job, it has ups and downs but I am genuinely appreciated for what I do for the first time ever.

I manage all on my own to run the flat, my horses etc and still have enough money to be comfortable.

Tomorrow I am going to ride my mare for the first time since I bought her in November and I am soo excited

I could post the negatives, but I refuse to! Life is good, there are downsides to everything, but ultimately I'm doing ok :)

I to have a scooter, a lovely flat, a beautiful sweet mare, and the funniest and most affectionate two cats ever, and the most brilliantly fiance i could wish for, with a new job im sure im going to love!

a gorgeous 4yo dark bay TB who i just got a few months ago but is the sweetest boy ever :)

my YO and friends at the yard - i lost my mare in a freak accident in the summer and its been hard for me to accept and today they gave me a pro picture from the last BE event we did together even though it took a lot of effort for them to find the pic (they phoned my instructor and everything as they didnt know me when i had her as i was at another yard) they still did it for me and i was truly touched - brought a tear to my eye to know how much they care :D

my OH! 2010 was a tough year but he's still around :)

Oh loads!

My lovely husband, great friends, having our own land and house in a National Park, running our two businesses together, great staff to work with, lovely (in the main!) customers, and of course my fabulous horses - Harley, 19 this summer, and we will have been together 14 years on 19 June, Ellie, our homebred filly, who will be four on 8 June, and lovely Tinner, rising two, who I bought on a whim over a year ago, and is adored and adoring! Oh, and having lost two stone on Weight Watchers, that's definitely a good thing!

I'm sure there's more than this - and I'm good at ignoring the negatives!

What nice thoughts from the OP :)

OK, I have my lovely OH, my house, the car, the motorbikes & my horse & pony in MY yard
The cat is happy (upside down on the carpet grinning) and my bank account isn't completely broken yet this month :)

and...... I became a step-granny last night!

Thank you OP - I was just having a winge about a minor toothache, but am now thinking more positive (and going to get painkillers right now :D)

well done dexter for knowing that you are in a very good place and appreciating the here and now! yeah winter sucks sometimes but hey love the log fires, specially as i cut the wood on my land with a chainsaw so i have free heating! love the horses, love the countryside, its beautiful at all times of the year, love the night sky full of stars, the freedom of my lifestyle, the kind neighbours who care, watching the deer in the woods, the blessing of meeting new people through my work, but mostly its about the horses, riding my stallion in the fields the thrill of riding my tb mare now 18 years old, the prospect of the future with the youngsters, the fun of hacking out my little coloured pony with the dog at our heel along miles of tracks, in summer visiting the beach, ain't got much to complain about really!

Well, Red, who loves me almost as much as I love him, of course :D
My scooter, soon to be replaced by a car when I turn 17 :D
My mum has had cancer but has nearly got the all clear!
And I can ride again now the snow has gone!

What a fabulous post! I have had an awful few months with bad news after bad news coming my way (Dad Diagnoes with 2 types of aggressive cancer, House Burgled just before Christmas, Yard Burgled just after Christmas, Horse diagnosed with Osteo-Arthritis just after New Year and now Grandma on her death bed!) so right now thinking of the positives is definitely a good plan :-)

I have 2 wonderful horses (Lewi and Max), they are my lifeline and although I'd be much better off financially without them, mentally and spiritually without them doesn't bear thinking about!

I have a gorgeous little dog who loves and adores me as if I actually gave birth to her myself!

My 2 fabulous little Cats who manage to make me smile and keep me on my toes constantly, whilst treating me to purrs and snuggles whenever possible :-)

Finally I have the most amazing Family, Friends and OH a girl could dream of!

Right, well my first one is….. I’m coming home to HHO!

I have the most wonderful cob called Bodey and have qualified for the Riding Teams Show Jumping National Champs at Hartbury in April.

I have got rid of the husband, and gained a fantastic new boyfriend, who I’m seeing tomorrow, and I know I’m going to be spoilt.

I have a whole future to look forward too!

:):):):):):):)

I have a roof over my head, food on the table (if I cook it anyway), my own transport (when I can drive it, but lessons are payed for for me), money (and now an 'actual' job as well as commissions!), chance to get decent A levels in theory, and of course a lovely little horse.
I'm rather grateful for all that :)
