I *think* TCNs were only for 2013 to help people adjust to the new FEI qualifications - so they were normal national classes at the level (*=Novice, 2*=Int) which had been nominated by BE with the FEI to count as CICss. However, I think this dispensation was for one year only so for 2014 you will need to do actual CICs for FEI qualifications (except for CIC/CCI*s obviously). They introduced the TCNs last inter because there was a bit of an uproar when the new quals came in and people who previously thought they were qualified for a certain level suddenly weren't...
ETA: If they are showing on the 2014 fixture list I suspect it may be that the actual classes for each individual event haven't been updated yet. For instance, the CCI* Junior National Champs are to be held at Brand Hall this year, yet that isn't showing on the fixture yet...

Ahh ok thankyou for that as I was looking at Kelsall Hill TCN* as it says on fixture but like you say, might not be actually updated. Thankyou!

If you search 2014 fixture list there are no TCNs coming up
