with towing a ifor williams 505 trailer to carry 2 horses up to 16.2hh?
What sort of vehicles should i be looking at? Is there a website anywhere that will explain the weight vs engine size?!

the trailer weighs 905kg unladen - your horses could be in the region of 500kg each or more, add in a hay net or two and 2 tonnes is pretty close for what you are towing.
To balance this you need a towing vehicle that weighs at least 2 tonnes, an engine capacity of at least 2.7 or above and ideally a long wheelbase. Trooper, Discovery, Patrol - that kind of thing would be ideal.
