As title, my supplier has just hiked his up and I am aware at this time of year good hay is in short supply but just wondering what others are paying.

Last year (21/22) 3.50 plus £10 delivery of a 35-bale trailerload. This year (22/23) 4.50 and I can't remember what arrangement we made re delivery. Anyway I paid for a year's worth up front which was painful!

£5 per bale delivered (north east) it is lovely quality though (and quite a bit cheaper than what we were paying down south). We don't use much though as they only have it when they've needed to be in for any reason - which is pretty seldom.

5.75 in north Surrey (bought through the yard), but the last delivery is going to run out in a couple of weeks and I bet the next lot is more expensive. It is lovely hay though.

In comparison the timothy haylage is nearly a tenner a bag, so my horse gets it sparingly!

I got some delivered in January for £3.50 delivered but he has none left now. Just collected some 4ft bales which were £25 but his small bales were £6!

£5.50 delivered. Though it's literally bought from across the street so really no delivery costs associated for the seller. Debating switching as not pleased with the quality. If I have to pay through the nose for it it needs to be good stuff!

£4.50 a bale last time (half underweight, half full of docks..) but £5-£5.50 (decent stuff) now. Thinking of trying out big half ton square bales instead now we have a barn, not so easy as tossing a small bale into a feeder though. West Wales

£5 per bale delivered and stacked. Lovely quality hay and big bales. The delivery and stacking is easily worth £1 a bale to me!

£4 bale bought at DIY livery from the yard. I'm using 1.5 bales a week but horse is only in at night.
