Any exciting horsey holiday plans?

I'm going to a week of clinics starting today and I'm having a lesson with both horses for the next 5 days. All inside as well which is pleasant.

Can't wait!

Hunting and hacking, bit of schooling. Making the most of my time off.

I know for sure though that despite not being schooled for 2 weeks, she will be amazing next time. Hunting does that to her

I'm taking my new boy out for the first time in my new lorry on Saturday. I've hired a local indoor with a friend for a schooling session.
Not sure if he's been indoors before as he came with little history, even if he has, he will no doubt make a dramatic entrance with snorts loud enough to scare any horse eating monsters that may be lurking.

Lots of horsie time, will go hacking, to the beach, bit of schooling and training in hand then I have lessons next weekend :)

Have had a quiet couple of weeks with just hunting twice and no schooling. Dressage lesson this afternoon and despite no practice he will be fab I'm sure as hunting just does that to him. Tomorrow we're off to Tweseldown with 6 others for a bit of XC fun. Haven't planned next weekend yet as there doesn't seem to be that much on!

Well jealous, as I'm having to work :-(
At least today is calm and sunny, so hoping to introduce my mare to her new trailer. Prep for when the weather improves and we can get out and about.

I'm taking advantage of the day light & riding away my 2 newly broken rising 4 year olds. Sadly we won't be going anywhere fast because everywhere is so wet !

I'm going to the local big Hogmanay show Thursday and Saturday. I'm so excited about doing the mini six bar, it's unreal... 😄

In between, I'll be riding as normal.

Weather permitting, I want to school my new mare, get a couple of hacks in, introduce the clippers and do a few sessions of loading practice. She only arrived a week ago, so whatever we do the emphasis is on getting to know each other!

New jump saddle fitting tomorrow (I'm bouncing around the place like a loon!), then lots of hacking and hill work. I was hoping to get to the beach but it's either going to be raining heavily or 50mph winds - I don't fancy being sandblasted and daresay the horse doesn't either :p.

Everyone needs to add pics, particularly Ted showing off in the mirrors please!

Had two lessons today and I am shattered. Daisy was fab-u-lous and Peaches didn't kill me and Daisy didn't kill Peaches. I call that a win on all counts 😂

Just loaded:

Peaches showing how angelic she is these days.

Ted The Twit is having his Christmas Present tomorrow. Hired an indoor with huge mirrors for him to admire himself in.

I have a vision of you hiring and arena to literally let him gaze at himself for the hour! Mine would love that, he is quite partial to the beautiful pony that he sees in the mirrors whilst he's schooling.

We're having an extra lesson, making the most of riding in the light and I'm also trying to "tweak" my music for regionals!

Had a great hack out on Sunday morning with 2 others from the yard, my new mare's longest hack with me yet, then yesterday a fab flatwork lesson. Going to school once I finish work, day off for her tomorrow, another lesson on Thursday with my other instructor, then hopefully some more hacking and loading practice Fri/Sat/Sun depending on the weather! We were supposed to be going to a tiny local show on Saturday but the forecast is for very bad rain over the next day or so, suspect it will be called off due to ground :(

We took 4yo son and his pony to a Pony Club ride in the forest on Sunday which he v much enjoyed. My legs were rather sore the next morning though..

Hubby was to hunt tomorrow, but in the aftermath of Storm Frank I can't see it happening somehow :( He was really looking forward to it, as its a brilliant meet..

My SiL stayed with us over Christmas, so hubby and I got a couple of hacks out together that we wouldn't normally get in school hollidays :)
