What are you feeding your horses at the moment?

He gets an am and pm feed - am is nothing much, just something for him to have when he comes in (out at night still). Main feed is evening.

AM is a handful of D&H High Fibre Nuts and a bit of Simple System alfalfa and a sprinkling of Yea-Sacc.

PM is about half a scoop alfalfa, couple of handfuls of nuts with small cup of linseed plus brewers yeast, joint supplement, magox and seaweed every other or every 3 days.

My two are in at night, out during the day. Neither are rugged at night and only in a lightweight during the day if its cold and miserable. Neither will be rugged properly until they are clipped.

Sy (14.2hh arab) currently in light work (odd bit of hacking, odd bit of schooling) and a bit overweight, has a small holed haynet

AM. 1/4 scoop of allen and page old faithfuls
PM. 1/4 scoop of old faithfuls
1/4 soaked speedibeet

Hollie (16.2hh tb) currently going in to medium work (hacking, schooling, lunging etc) has 2 haynets, a large one and a smaller one.

AM. 1/2 soaked speedibeet
1/4 graze on
1 cup of topspec feed balancer

PM. 1/2 soaked speedibeet
1/2 graze on
1 cup of topspec feed balancer
1 tbsp on magnesium oxide

During summer when they were out 24/7 they we both on a handful of ride and relax as a token bucket for coming in and doing work. Hollie had a handful of graze on and magnesium oxide in hers.
