As the title suggests, what is everyone feeding their yearlings? I'm still feeding my 13 month old Oldenburg filly her Suregrow with a handful of fibre beat to wet it.
What does anyone else recommend and how much are you feeding?
Any advice much appreciated!

Thanks marmite! Can I ask did you feed it with something or alone? Im only giving her half what the bag recommends (seems far too much to me!) 2 x feeds of 250g and a handful of fibre beat as explained.

Should she be getting more, I've always judged things by the way she looks and especially as the grass is now through she started to fill out.
Again any advice appreciated. Interested in others way of doing things.

I fed with apple chaff. As for actual amounts I fed, probably too much, just one of my big square scoops full, with water when they were little, ad lib hay when in. In all honesty they've probably always been a bit over weight, not a lot, but a bit. Now tho they're both doing amazing and are just on grass / hay. They're 3 and have made height better than expected too :)
