What are you horses favourite treats?

Choc digestives, herbal horse treats, cocksfoot grass (he always picks that!), jammy dodgers, anything really - he's a hoover!

Good old carrot :)

Though I have a huuuuge bag of little circley biscuit things that are healthy can't remember the name, he loves them (taste like strong weetabix, yes I tried them, I was curious!!)

He goes mad for ginger biscuits-and every other treat under the sun! Also loves oranges, bananas and all the usual fruit&veg. Can't think of anything he wouldn't Hoover up!

My lad loves turnip, though it gives him horrendously stinky breath :p
He's a bit of a foodie, once it's in my hand, he thinks it's worth eating

Not much of a treat-er either, but am reliably informed daughter's pony likes apple likit, youngster often hangs over the fence winking at me to pass him some of those nice fireweed thingies that grow just out of reach and big boy likes dandelions. Oh and once chewed a blackened discarded banana skin before I really twigged what he was doing. Seemed to like it!

Same with mine. B likes turnip as long as it can't run away. I'll give him a full one the odd time (over a few days) to play with, but he gets fed up with it if it rolls around too much.
Anything that stays still for long enough will be tasted, if it's edible, it's his (or so he thinks).

Maiden loved the apple flavour Spillers treats. Frank prefers the herb flavour ones! Both of them would do / would have done anything for them! I get mugged for them very gently by Frank :)

This is an interesting thread because it's a topic that my horse discussed with me a few days ago. I visited him on his hols with my friend who's horse is in the same field as my boy. I had apples and friend had carrots. I fed my boy, he fed his, then we swopped treats. My boy snatched the carrot from my hand expecting it to be apple. You should have seen his face!! He chewed slowly, looked at me, looked at friend, looked at me and then trotted over to friend. What a traitor!!

Cow parsley and xxx mints. Goes loopy for them, I use the mints to help with bending exercises, the only time I can say my horse bends over backwards to please me... Even though I know deep down he just wants the mint, it amazes me how much he is willing to do to get one! All I have to do now is produce a packet and he goes through his whole repertoire of bends, without me even asking :D The best thing being that they're only 25p per packet at the local discount store!

Banana and then more banana. Skin and all if they get it before I can pull skin off.

And a really juicy pear once in a while, but I resent giving them to the horses cos I love them too!

Pretty much all fruit & veg, & loads of unsuitable human food too. Daughters pony loves coffee, tea & hot choc & wormer. Goes mad for them despite not usually being food orientated.

Can't really say what the favourite is as they seem to enjoy a large variety! Marmite sandwiches (or jam or honey), ginger biscuits, sugar cubes, mint imperials (get a cheap bag from Aldi!), various vegetables, apples, frosties, flapjack, cereal bars...

I always hear people say bananas but not one of our four will eat them!
