what are you wearing on your feet at the minute around the horses

Wearing usual jod boots or muckers but with Ice-Grips on - the sort you slip over your shoes and they grip the ice. Absolutely brilliant. Wouldn't be without them. Having slipped on ice years ago and smashed my arm to pieces, I have a real fear of slipping again, so I always keep a spare pair of them in the car as well, in case go out and the pavements look slippery. Total peace of mind. Wish they made them for my horses.

Another vote for muck boots here! This will be my third winter wearing mine, and while they have a tiny split in one, they're still as comfy and warm as ever :)

2 pairs of thick socks, muckers with my salopettes over the top and I have been toasty.
I have the long derby house mucker type boots which are really warm too but not ideal with salopettes.

im wearing my walking boots, with a pair of good walking socks and my walking Gaitors! look like im going to climb ben nevis but im toastie warm and dry and my boots have great grip in the snow and ice and if its really bad u chuck on my spiders and then have no risk of sliding about.

I gave up on wellies/muck boots/muckers etc at the end of last winter as im sick to death of them only ever lasting the one winter...if that

Thin socks and my Derwent Muckboots :) Used tohave the Tay Muckboots but they died after a good 4/5 years everyday use in mental conditions. Love them! :D

*Extra tip for warm feet*
Wear a plastic bag over your socks.. Somehow it helps keep your feet warmer. Everyone from my yard does it now. :)

Up until now I have been wearing my mountain horse steel toes, and woof wear muck boots. Both are about 1 size too big so I have been wearing a few pairs of socks. Great for yard stuff but not for when I'm riding and my feet are moving about as much :(

Just bought a pair of Ariat Grasmeres, wore them in the snow today and I am in love!!!!!
Although too scared to wear them around the horses, but I guess they have to get scratched soon!

I am wearing my cheap aussie snugs currently 1/2 price on E clearance. They are sheepskin upper and welly bottom ,my feet which are normally like ice are hot! in these, even though the snows up to the top of them they dont leak and because of the wide soles i can walk better when its slippy, best £15 ever spent!

Dublin River boots and one pair of socks.

Coped fab until the 18inches of snow got to the lining, and now the lining is falling whenever i put my feet in :(

Toggi Heritage boots same boots I wear every day of the year. I have thin socks and a pair of ski socks on top (that way I can get a few days out of them :D)

However I think my mums muck boots are amazing and nick them when she isnt wearing them!

I am actually wearing an old pair of DC Chalet boots. They may not be specifically for horses, but you will find nothing warmer. Fully waterproof, and cheaper than most of the boots in this post.

Only catch is you can't ride in them. But my feet are so warm (I can wear them with just a pair of thin socks and be fine) I really don't care! And I wou;ldn't generally be riding in this anyway :)

Muck Boot Co. Derwent. Can't praise them enough. I had the Tack ones initially, they lasted 5 years and are still fine but I wanted more grip. I have NEVER had cold feet in my muck boots.

Ariat Bromont short zip boots, and a pair of normal socks, toasty warm, waterproof and I don't slip in them, or long Welligog leather boots - totally warm and waterproof, with normal socks.

Can someone post a link to the muck boots that keep being mentioned please??:D

muck boot wellies and one pair of socks, very toasties feet. Muck Boot Co are the best!

Same. I can't believe I have spent the last god knows how many winters in pairs and pairs of socks and Hunters. Should have bought my Muck Co boots years ago.
I have the Tyne boots.

Normal socks, thermal socks, carrier bag, hunter wellies! Been wearing carrier bags under my wellies for years and never get cold feet!! looks a bit odd but no one sees so who cares!! :)

I've got some of these but the long ones at £25. They're great aren't they?

grasmeres for best (college, shops, nip to horses)- only need a thin pair of socks underneath

hunters to muck out in- couple of pairs of socks and sorted. used to wear carrier bags with them (last pair split after years of hard graft) might start doing it again

Gumleaf wellies

neoprene lined, warm and toasty even after I have been in them over 8 hours at work, usually just with one thick pair of socks but today with thin socks and Hunter welly liners
