what are you wearing on your feet at the minute around the horses

Heat holder socks, paif of thick socks and a pair of tights then my hunter wellies and my feet are still ruddy cold!!! grrr
Going to attempt to wear my Dublin River Boots today + a few plastic bags because they are slowly dying on me.

Proper snow boots bought and normally reserved for skiing. They are mega tough, go halfway up my legs and keep my feet warm and dry.

Two pairs of socks and my builders rigger boots that were a very worthwhile investment just before the snow came...big thick soles, metal toe caps and fur lined...brilliant! I am also having to wear my husbands water proof trousers over the top with good old elastic bands round as the snow is knee high so would be in my boots otherwise!

I'm wearing Mark Todd Cook boots. This is their third winter and I love them. I stay warm and dry in them and I just hose the muck off when I want to ride.

Me too. Bought mine about 3 weeks ago and am totally in love with them. I wear a pair of tights under my joddies and a thin pair of socks.

Muck Boot Tyne for riding in
Muck Boot Derwent for everything else.
Dubarry's for non horsey stuff when I need to look less of a cacker...

I am on my 3rd pair of each of these :D

Heat Holder thermal socks which are SIMPLY THE BEST.

Unfortunately today my black Clark's shoes that I wear for work  as car had an unexpected stay in garage overnight as endless problems with it and all my horsey stuff in the boot..

Tania 01, I meant to add to my last post send your welligogs back I sent 3 pairs back all leaked 1st pair after 4 months 2 replacement pairs straight out of the box the seams on the alleged waterproof membrane do not apear to be sealed and let water through at the seams over the tops of your feet and the vertical seams let water through as well "boots not fit for purpose" send them back.

Muck boot tay sport - always have warm feet. The only things I have found that don't leave me crippled with ice block feet!! I don't look fancy in them, but hobbling around because you can't feel your feet doesn't look all that fetching either!! This is their second winter and they still look good as new, I'm one happy customer!

I wear my Le Cheamue wellys all the time they are very warm I even ride in them I was thinking about getting some Tyne muck boots are they good in slippery conditions and are they true to size, thanks.

Hi,
I've just got some tyne riding wellies as I was so impressed with the Tay sports I have. Unfortunatly I haven't got to ride in them as the ground has been frozen solid since I recieved them!! I have pottered around the house in them though (sad I know!) and they are super comfy. I got the tyne sport ones (they are a bit warmer than the tyne ones - this was the cheapest I found them, they also do the normal tynes http://www.easy-wellies.co.uk/tyne-...tml?cPath=89&gclid=CP_oi9nh8qUCFQ8f4QodvkCQpA) and they are pretty bang on to size I'd say. You wouldn't be comfy with lots of socks with them on as the foot space isn't as roomy as the other boots, but tbh you don't need more than one normal pair of socks as they are so warm. I'm not sure they would be brilliant in slippy conditions as they are made for riding so have a smaller grip on them. I will just keep them for riding though and wear my other muck boots the rest of the time so I don't think I would find it a prob. I would stick with your le chameaus for normal stuff, then just change for riding, esp on icy days!!

thankyou so much i'll stick with my chameaus x

My £5.00 baby blue mucker boots, absolute bargain and more water proof and comfortable than any expensive boots I've bought in the past.

This lady has gone Primani! :D

Ski socks and steel toe cap wellies. There would be nothing worse than a broken toe at this time of year, plus I have to wear them for work so may as well wear them down the yard. That or my steel toe Mountain horses - Sorry I am not one of the Dubarry Clique - spend far too much time around horses to wear them! And Yes I would challenge anyone to do my job wearing them and not get trampled or wet feet.

I'm wearing a pair of fur lined rigger boots, they are a size too big for me so I have to wear 3 pairs of socks but they always keep my feet toasty warm, never leak and I don't slip on ice either - super cool boots (though they do make me look a bit like a golf club:D)

Snap.
Have gym socks, then thicker socks over the top and very warm feet- plus a steel toe cap for £20 :o Bloody brilliant boots IMO!

The black boots with pink furry popm-poms & pink fur tops from Robinsons (tops are worn 'up' for yard work tho) They are just BRILLIANT
Wish I'd brought more as if these go, then wil be back in my old lace-up Woff boots which are the 3rd of 3 pairs I brought 12 years ago :(

hey all,

i just bought a pair of karrimor snow boots-they are amazing! £35 very good price, fur lined, good grip on bottom, completley water proof ankle boots,...got them off amazon they are fab! Also very lightweight for walking, mucking out etc etc

I'm on about my 3rd pair of yard boots this year, I don't know what I do to them but no matter what pair I have the right foot always ends up with a leak. Latest pair were men's ones (thought they might be more heavy duty) fur lined from Scats, leaking after about 3 weeks, my right foot was freezing last night!
