What Are Your Hobbies??

i have a small homebased business/hobby baking decorating cakes/cupcakes- was a hobby that became a small business!

also love reading

:)

As well as the horses and a full time job, I spin and knit my own designs in the wool from our sheep (Vera, Enid and Shirley :D ) I also crochet and sew, make jam in the berry season and am hoping to resurect the veg garden again this year :)

All my hobbies seem to involve hanging around....
Rock climbing
Pole dancing (teach 8-10 hours a week and some personal training clients outside my full time job)
Trick riding (although not done it much since I slipped a disc!)
Bit of hoop/silks
Mountain boarding/horse boarding
But he is definitely my favourite hobby!

Photography mainly, although I'm meant to be completing my AS at the moment and really not doing much as I've been totally stressed with finding a job/somewhere to live.

I do quite a bit of reading. A fair bit of baking. Some needle felting, this is a new one since Christmas when I got a needle felting kit! And walking when I get the chance and have the inclination!

I usually go on a two week walking pilgrimage every summer, however this year I'm not going as I'll be in Canada instead! I'll probably miss it but not the fortnight spent sleeping on hard floors, long walking days, wet weather, stupid routes, bad planning, the general public who move our arrows that show our route, people having a go at me and generally being sleep deprived! It is fun in between that though, usually.

I dance, ballet and contemporary.
When time allows (yay for summer holidays) I swim and I also do athletics at school, long jump, high jump, 100m and 200m.

Apart from riding. Hmm. Mucking out, filling hay nets, grooming, making feeds, sweeping up. Lol. I like cinema when ponies let me afford it. I love to read and I take my dogs out every day, except the little lad won't go far in the rain (clever dog). I like swimming in the summer and my work bowls a lot though it wouldn't be my 1st choice I enjoy it but I think that's the company.

Underwater walking, cross-country dancing (usually accompanied by dogs but can include horses) and nocturnal fencing as described by JFTD recently. We are trying to get a team together for London 2012.

I also like to read but am afraid that this often turns into an underwater activity too, as I frequently read/fall asleep in the bath.

I am a field archer.

This does not mean I stand in a field, it means I wander around woodland courses, shooting targets, rather like imitation hunting (but only a little bit).

This is a typical 3D (rubber animal) target.

Now that is awesome...

Nocturnal fencing is one of my favourite pastimes. Unrelatedly I once taught Fergs to gay gordon so we coud x/c dance together...

Does training dogs to do random, daft things (DT could conga, gay gordon, ride the horses, do all manner of tricks) count as a hobby? Otherwise I'll have to go for HHO, eating and sleeping :o

Running and dog!!! Would like to learn more cookery tried to get on a course locally but it got cancelled due to lack of students doh!

Reading - I'm a member of a reading group.
Hiking/Hillwalking, mainly in the peak district but elsewhere too. I've done a bit of power walking in the past but prefer a slightly more gentle pace and some scenery!

DH also enjoys hiking so that is another hobby we share and do together along with riding. He doesn't like reading fiction though, which is annoying when I want to rave about a book I've just finished! He is into photography and cycling, art isn't a hobby for him any more.

We both enjoy making full use of our national trust cards too.

There are other things I'd like to do more often or take up again but I don't currently have time for............

I can't see the picture at work, but they do this in the woods where we hack. They have access for a few weekends a year, but set up in the week before. Nearly caused a parting of ways as I am cantering along one of the tracks and was confronted by a full sized alligator. Small Horses eyes fell out of his head and the brakes slammed on! :D

I read a lot and love proper walking. Try to get away for 4 long weekends a year.

Love animals, cooking, walking (has to be in the countryside though :p!), drawing/painting/photography, reading (mainly to do with horses most of the time :p), and if I do have the very rare chance I like to play baminton and tennis :)

:O I am impressed with all of you and disgusted with myself!!

I don't ride ATM, but have a youngster on DIY livery, I also have 2 fillies at another yard so that's a round trip after work (and just the youngster in the morning).

So when I get home after work I can't bring myself to do anything! I will drive to my boyfriends house usually (10 miles) and that's about it! I have started pilates which I really love.

I like shopping, but that doesn't really count! :D

I haven't read everything so apologies if you have answered this already, what is needle felting?

Are you walking in Canada? Whereabouts? Walking = bad word, no one walks where I live, they drive 5 minutes around the corner to get a Timmies in the morning!! Even I get on the quad to check the horses! :(

Hobbies, me? I take a lot of photos, generally 80% are deleted :D
I do a lot of bird watching - mostly from my window! (combines well with photography :D)
I read - anything and everything I can get my hands on.

When the mood takes me I paint things - objects (anything I can get my hands on and sell) not pictures sadly I have no talent for that.
It is birdhouses at the moment because I got some cheap ones in the sales - not finished yet:
