What are your New Year's resolutions?

i must lose all my excess weight. If you are forced to go and buy clothing in two sizes larger than you normally would, and you can't bend your arms in your current clothing or bend down to pick up something from the floor and your trouser's waistband is suffocating you, then you know you need to make a serious plan and lose weight. I have started swimming regularly again, so will carry on with that and hopefully lose some inches somewhere. Also now Christmas and New Year is over with the hundreds of special deals on unhealthy food, I'm going to eat and drink more healthily

I'm also for the first time going to sit down and create a weekly timetable to ensure that I get everything done which I need to do, e.g. before and after work hours to also fit in housework, walking the dogs and seeing to my horse. I'm also going to revise my document at work that contains all the daily and weekly duties which has got to be done, ticked off, signed and dated. Have already started bringing the doggies in to work with us, so they get a nice early morning walk, all lunchtime and afternoon evening walk.

This year 2017 I want to consolidate the work I've done with a Kev, balance the canter, on both reins, so that we can go and do our first prelim. Most of all I want to enjoy my lad and oh yeah, lose weight:D

I had a great 2016 with my horse, if a little challenging personally with a head and neck injury that no-one can diagnose which stopped me doing everything I normally would...although i did manage to run a half marathon so was proud of that.

This year I'd like to get my neck well enough that I can train hard again, I want my 6 pack back, I've signed up to Krav Maga (Israeli street fighting) and I want to get back to pole dancing and to run a few more half marathons. I'd like to get the splits too. Not asking for much! Basically I want to quit letting my funky neck give me an excuse for being a lazy bum!

With the horse I just want to carry on as we are, enjoying every ride and training session, it would be nice to try jumping him again, 2 years after his sacroiliac injury. He popped a couple very enthusiastically at a trec competition yesterday and said he is definitely ready to do more!

Im going to try and get over my terror of the dentist
Improve my confidence while driving and stop just pootling round locally. I avoid the motorways like the plague!
Mind you this was last years resolution, I was going to drive to a different place going alphabetically slowly getting further
away from home, not happened as yet !

Lose weight! It has crept on over the past few years.
Run a sub 1hr 10k.
Run a few more half marathons (have two in the pipeline). Maybe 6 over the year?
Do more with the horses - ride at least 4 x per week. Maybe get the mad mare out for some low key stressage and maybe take the old boy out veteran showing.

Going on strike in the kitchen until my O/H who loves to eat and does not ride, wash rugs, clean tack, cook, do housework or gardening (and is retired) updates our website - promised a year ago. The worm has turned.

My ambition is to put some BD points on my horse but to do that I have to up my fitness so I ride better, improve my confidence so we can both cope with the warm up and be more assertive with my riding so he doesn't mess me around. Eek!

I've just bought a new horse today and I am going to ride the damn thing if it kills me!

This means I have to get my back fixed, which means surgery, which means losing weight. So I'm on a diet, I've bought an Ijoy ride so I can ride on it while I'm losing weight, and at some point this year I am going to ride this flaming horse and I am going to enjoy it

I also want to get my little lammi cob right. Its not really a resolution, its just something I am desperately hoping for because I adore him and he has so many people fighting for him!

Non horsey- I want to go back to pole dance classes.. only fitness classes I've ever enjoyed. At the very least I want to practice holds and poses on the home pole. It's great for toning your arms and core.
Horsey- as soon as I know if my work contract is secure I'm going to affiliate the horse bsja. Its time. So that's spring..
Also going to return to competing her myself at dressage. See if she's more amenable now she's been out and about more!
