Ooh that sounds like a fun summer! Look forward to updates and photo's of them hopefully doing pony club!

Hoping to get the new lad out and about competing aiming for BE90 level stuff without the price tag this year....who knows for next yr!! :D Also hoping to bring the injured lad home and start some rehab work on him, crossing all fingers and toes that he can handle some level of work otherwise i have a very hard decision to make regarding him this year :( so far this year has had its ups and downs and its only march.... Im hoping the rest is up!!! Good luck to everyone and fingers crossed summer arrives soon!!! :)

I'd like to get out to a few L2/3 TRECs with Fergs, either by himself or in a pair depending on buddy-willingness, and maybe a couple of endurance rides. Actually get him round a HT or little ODE (ODE abandoned last summer due to landy issues). Some really nice long rides from home too would be good. He's just recently matured a lot hacking out so it'll be our first full summer of long solo hacks. I'm looking forward to it - and some sun (I hope!).

Roll on spring!

Give birth mid June then get back on and ride !! Anything and everything as this desporate stage I'm not fussy! Really feeling withdrawal now as I've not ridden since Nov.
However today is grim here pouring all day so more days like this and maybe I won't miss it as much!

I'm hoping for quite a busy summer :

1. Get me and my daughter out on some fun rides
2. Get my homebred 4 YO fully backed and hopefully if hes ready competing in some age classes
3. Sell my other rising 4 YO
4. Take yearling & 2YO to some youngstock classes
5. At the end of the summer , off to horsecamp ! Yippee:D

Come on summer:D

Good luck everyone to your aims for the summer!! Here's hoping we actually get one this year haha!

Wow, Congratulations :D

Get baby horse out at elementary level, bring my coloured back to work and up to medium level, do some advanced classes with the big fella and veteran inhand shows with the old girl!!!

Thanks - I'm looking forward to it really - just wish there was some way of having an hour or two off being pregnant now and again so I could go for a blast and regain my sanity !
I have two friends due to give birth any day, and they're so sick of it now. Luckily shouldn't be too long for you and then you get regain your sanity! :p

Good luck to you! Looking forward to updates.

Have a successful and un-eventful foaling followed by lots of playing with said foally (and mom of course) and do a couple of in-hand shows with mom and foal.

I would like to get to a few competitions and clinics with my big girl and work more with my youngest pony. I would also like to jump bigger and also ride on the beach and do some bareback/tackless riding and jumping.:)

Get Rio going well enough to take him to his first competition this year in dressage and also bring Taz back into work after over a year out of work :o also i want to go on a pub ride and given that there is a pub about 1/8 of a mile down a bridle path from the yard AND it has a tie point this shall be very easy... not sure if its a good idea drinking too much while riding though :p

I will just be pleased to have my lad sound and riding out hacking each day...some dry weather would be nice too...and sunshine!

I'm intending to get 3.5 year old doing more long reining and in hand hacking through to end August when he turns 4...will see how he's doing and looking then, and have a little sit on him and potter about before turning away again...will take him in-hand to local show possibly too..:)
Will get daughter out and about too on her sec a, pretty much off lead rein now...get them out in the forest a bit more ;)
And my big special needs boy...will continue building bridges with him to see if he can ever be more than a handsome field ornament..he's doing well with clicker training so far this year so fingers crossed.
Will no doubt continue to ride one or two friends horses as and when too. Friend has offered to teach me to drive too, good cos would like to put sec a to trap once daughter eventually outgrows.
Oh and OH's plan is to build a field shelter/stable by the house...(or is that my plan for him??!)
And Can I take this opportunity to PLEAD for better weather than last year....

Just to build on our hacking and backing as it were, Nell has been a dream so far and I trust her a lot and she trusts me, we are hacking solo already, and we have only just started properly in the last month. I think we are learning lots about one another now I am in the saddle, she is such a brave young lady and seems to do well with a fairly long rein and very soft hand. I just hope we continue as we are, I am chuffed to bits with her and her fab attitude, she really is showing me what I saw when i viewed her that second viewing, willing, brave etc.
I may do a local show in hand class, but just to be gently plodding is just fantastic for me this summer, hopefully we will have our first trot and canter later in the summer :D

To be able to find a saddle that fits my 20 year old cob so that we can get out hacking again and work on his weight and fitness. Got yet another saddle fitter coming out next week......maybe this will be the one that finds me that elusive saddle!!

Hoping to

Bring my 21 yr old back into work, keep her sound and enjoy hacking round the villages,

on our loan horse to

improve my confidence jumping to be able to do a small course, not jumped for 20 years.

To return to competing at dressage, hoping to do an intro soon and aim for prelim

mainly just to have fun and enjoy them

Daughter off to uni in October so to have a good summer watching and supporting her too.

Me too! Hopefully taking the plunge around August as it'll be my 30th birthday present to myself!
Currently creating a spreadsheet with all the local yards on it and a budget chart (expecting that to go out the window!!!)
Plus if I can get The Mother back into it, then I'll have a willing helper for holidays/comps as the OH is 100% not horsey!!!!

My summer will consist of showing, showing and yet more showing! Currently trying to arrange riders for the Highland Show for various beasties.

This year I have 2 shetlands out under saddle - one pure lead rein the other lead rein & open if I can find the right rider for her. The darty will be making his annual pilgramige to the Highland and heres to hoping I don't fluff up my lines this time!

I have 2/3 exracers to get out and about and I have bribed a couple of friends into being pilots upon occassion on them when I have more than 1 in the same class.

I have 1 inhand shetland for this year. The welsh cob to break in, a shetland to break to ride/drive and sell on. Thankfully no foals due this year! Maybe next year ...

Im hoping to:
Get fit
Do some schooling with my mare
Do some longer rides
Try and camp with my horse
Do some jumping

All we need is a lovely summer :)

Rowan:
TRY and qualify for the restricted novice regionals if we even get out to a competition.
IF I do qualify then I won't go to sheepgate U25 with him but if I don't then I will go to sheepgate U25 and do the novice class.
Do our first elem and hopefully qualify for the areas!
Do our first majour spotty big showing competition!
Do our first ever cross country training

Inka (rising 4 year old):

Do well in some walk and trots
Hopefully do our first prelims and aim to qualify for the regionals.
If she is ready then do prelims a bit earlier and go to sheepgate U25 to do the prelims there if I have qualified for the regionals with Row.
Do lots of hacking!

Dancer (20 year old)
Not completely 100% on this yet but definitely:
Break out 60% score at elem level
maybe have a go at a medium.
