I'm curious what other peoples youngsters are doing and how much have you done with them so far. I have a 2 and a half year old Section D who I bought as a 8 month old foal. She's been out walking the lanes in hand, been to a local show last summer, worn a saddle and bridle and my very slight ten year old daughter has sat on her bareback just standing still. She's taken everything in her stride. At the moment she's out for the winter in a big field, with plenty of grass and mates and just has a fuss in the field, so not really doing any training at the moment. I looking forward to working with her again in the spring. What have your 2/3 done and what are your plans for the spring?

I've only just bought mine. He worked as a stud this summer. He's been gelded, is learning to pick up his feet nicely and behave in a stable/yard. He's handled daily and lives in a barn at night with others. He will show in hand this winter if my local venue does any this year. He will be bitted and wear a saddle before the spring. Next spring he will show in hand locally to get him out and about, and if he is strong enough I will back him.

He's done the occasional show inhand and walked out led off another. Other than that he's out living it large with other youngsters and a couple of stallions

Next year it will more of the same, he won't do anything more intense until this time next year at the earliest

eating farting and bucking in the filed! . will come into stable have feet picked out and trimmed and be groomed. will lead from yard to paddock.

leading loading feet and grooming. Been to a couple of shows and an adventure playground for horses but mostly being a pony eating and unfortunately being a pain on restricted grazing as she is humungously fat arrived like that from the stud

My two 2 year old's were out showing this summer and are now turned out for winter. They do come in everyday to have their feet checked, groomed and a bucket feed but other than that 24/7 turnout.

Eating grass, playing with friends and occasionally getting feet trimmed. Mainly growing like a weed so nothing else will change for another year.
